Adding companies to your sourcing list manually (by name or URL)

When you already know which companies you want, you can add them to your sourcing list one at a time — by typing the company name or pasting its URL. This is the method to reach for when you have specific names in mind rather than a profile to search against.

In the last video I showed how to add new companies to the sourcing company list by running a query in our database with keywords and other characteristics. But you can also import companies directly, by name or website URL.

For example, you can simply type the company name here — Stripe and Apple — and we’ll look for companies with that name in our database. Let’s give it some time. There we go. You can also use their URL: stripe.com, apple.com, and it will work the same way.

If you already have these companies in an Excel or CSV file, you can simply drop it here. We just need the columns ‘company_name’ or ‘URL’. If you’d like a template, you can download one by clicking this button. I already have one prepared with some companies, so I’ll drop it in. It works the same way as the search at the top.

Now you have the companies. You can run an assessment as we did before, add tags, and then finally add them to the project.
